The Luna brothers have created some of the best comics out there in Girls and Ultra, along with working with some pretty high-powered (read: well known) talent in Invincible, Spider-Woman, The Matrix, etc.
Newsarama has a first look at the upcoming series from the brothers, The Sword -- and if it's anything like previous efforts by the duo, it's well worth adding to the pull list.

WW deflects a bullet for WB
Warner Brothers studios has been under fire of late with accusations of sexism in production. In Variety, WB has fired a shot at such accusations: "Female superheroes are prominent in two upcoming Warners comicbook actioners. Wonder Woman joins the male ensemble in DC's 'The Justice League' and Silk Spectre leads Alan Moore's 'Watchmen.' Female co-stars figure in both 'Speed Racer' and 'Get Smart.' And Robinov is still seeking the right script and star for a 'Wonder Woman' feature, which has been in development for a decade." This from Variety.
They have a point, but I do wish that Wonder Woman would find the script and star. If only to see who in the world looks like this. Because I think everyone really, really wants to know.

Cap!

So Captain America is coming back.
The Powers that Be at Marvel (and by this I mean Editor-In-Chief Joe Quesada and Cap scribe Ed Brubaker) have decided that issue #34 is a good time to return Captain America to his own book. A year of issues with a dead central character being deemed enough for the audience.
Not going to complain, as Bru's rendering of the book has been amazing and one of the best stories on the market today -- but they brought in Alex Ross for a redesign of the uniform.
Above is the classic Captain uniform. Here's what Ross has come up with:
A gun? A knife? Shiny shiny armor?
Please, don't let this be a return to the bad old 90's.
